Irapuato Mayor Lorena Alfaro Advances Roadworks and Solar Heater Program

Irapuato Mayor Lorena Alfaro García inspected the paving of a section of Calle Guanajuato between Gabriel García Márquez and Independencia, and the landscaping of Boulevard Solidaridad from Calle Benito Juárez to the highway bridge. The works aim to improve traffic flow, safety and the city’s visual appeal.

Separately, Alfaro led the distribution of more than 100 solar water heaters to residents of the El Milagro and Santa Sofía neighborhoods. The initiative, part of the municipal social‑development program coordinated with the Congregación Mariana Trinitaria, seeks to lower household gas expenses and promote renewable energy. Officials report the program has already assisted over 2,000 families in Irapuato, enhancing living standards and supporting sustainable development.
