Irapuato shooting injures three, families blame state security forces

On Saturday, June 20, a violent incident occurred in the Santa Elena community of Irapuato, leaving three people injured: 10‑year‑old Martín, 16‑year‑old Javier Osvaldo, and 43‑year‑old Gerardo. Relatives claim agents of the State Public Security Forces (FSPE) forced entry into a home without a warrant and discharged firearms, causing the injuries.

Another account describes an unidentified individual drawing a gun during a street brawl and firing repeatedly, also wounding a man and a minor. Victims were taken to a private hospital on their own. Municipal police, the National Guard and the Mexican Army arrived but left the scene without securing it or making arrests. No official statement has been issued by the FSPE or other authorities.
