Irapuato's New IMSS Hospital Designated Priority by Federal Deputy

Federal Deputy Diego Rodríguez Barroso (PAN) stated that the construction of a new IMSS hospital in Irapuato, Guanajuato, must be a priority. He said the project is being pushed for inclusion in the 2027 Federal Budget and emphasized the need for coordinated effort among federal, state and local authorities. Rodríguez Barroso praised Governor Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo’s meetings with the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) and criticized his Morena counterpart José Aguirre Gallardo for withdrawing a prior initiative and lacking commitment to the Irapuato community.

The deputy underscored that political will, rather than reliance on external assistance, is essential to secure funding and complete the hospital, which is intended to serve the population of Irapuato and surrounding areas.
