Ireland Enacts Law Banning Imports of Israeli Settlement Products, Praised by Palestinian Officials

Ireland’s parliament approved a law prohibiting the import of goods produced in Israeli settlements considered illegal under international law. The legislation was signed by the Irish president after completing constitutional procedures and is intended to cut economic support for the settlement enterprise.

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomed the measure, describing it as a significant step toward ending the occupation and urging other states to adopt comparable bans and enforce international accountability on entities supporting the settlements.
