Irene Mattia crowned Miss Sorriso Basilicata 2026

Irene Mattia, a 22-year-old from Potenza with a degree in Education and Training, has been crowned Miss Sorriso Basilicata 2026. The regional beauty pageant final took place on August 9, 2026, in the village of Anzi.

Mayor Maria Filomena Graziadei performed the coronation. The event featured Katia Buchicchio, Miss Italia, as the evening's godmother. During the ceremony, a new Miss Italia dress designed by Buchicchio was presented, showcasing local embroidery work and craftsmanship. The event was organized by Carmen Martorana Eventi with the patronage of the Municipality of Anzi.
