IRGC issues appeal to U.S. voters amid midterm election concerns
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has issued an open letter to the American public, appearing to influence the upcoming midterm elections. The IRGC’s communication urges U.S. civilians to “wrest control back from corrupt politicians” and calls for voters to reject the policies of President Donald Trump.
Republican Representative Randy Fine has characterized the IRGC’s actions as direct political interference. Fine argued that the Iranian regime is attempting to exploit domestic political divisions in the United States, suggesting that Democratic opposition to the President’s Iran policy may inadvertently serve Tehran’s interests.
The IRGC, which is designated as a foreign terrorist organization by the United States, reportedly encouraged Americans to rally against the current administration, claiming that U.S. Middle East policy has failed. The move has sparked debate regarding foreign attempts to manipulate the American electoral process through public appeals to voters.
