Iron Maiden Inducted into Rock Hall as Band Skips Ceremony for Australian Tour

Iron Maiden has been named to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s Class of 2026, joining current members Bruce Dickinson, Steve Harris, Dave Murray, Adrian Smith and Janick Gers, as well as former members Paul Di’Anno, Blaze Bayley, Dennis Stratton, Clive Burr and drummer Nicko McBrain. In a recent interview, McBrain said he feels “mixed emotions” about the honor, praising the accolade while noting the Hall’s controversial voting process.

The band will not attend the induction ceremony in Los Angeles on 14 November because it will be on the Australian leg of its Run For Your Lives World Tour. Shows are scheduled for Adelaide, Melbourne (13 Nov) and Sydney (15 Nov), among other dates. Manager Rod Smallwood confirmed the absence, and the ceremony will be streamed on ABC and Disney+.

McBrain also announced the forthcoming release of his autobiography, Hello Boys And Girls!, slated for 22 October, covering his career, health battles and life after retiring from touring in 2024.
