Overview

Mid‑June 2026 former guitarist Dennis Stratton called Iron Maiden’s upcoming Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction a milestone, noting the band’s schedule would decide attendance. Manager Rod Smallwood confirmed the absence; the ceremony will be streamed live on ABC and Disney+. Nicko McBrain voiced “mixed emotions” about the honor and announced his autobiography *Hello Boys And Girls!* (22 Oct). Frontman Bruce Dickinson and bassist Steve Harris said the induction “doesn’t really bother” them, that they have no intention to attend and that they value fans’ support. In a July 9 interview they reiterated those remarks and again named favourite tour legs such as the Brave New World and Legacy of the Beast tours, recalling Harris’s memorable Eddfest‑stage moment. On July 10‑11 the band celebrated its 50th anniversary with Eddfest at Knebworth, a two‑day festival where Iron Maiden performed the Run For Your Lives set, supported by The Hu, The Darkness, Airbourne and The Almighty. A second stage featured former front‑man Blaze Bayley. The grounds included themed zones such as Eddie’s Dive Bar, a Trooper VIP area and a fairground with rides, and showcased the “Infinite Dreams Experience” with over 50 historic items.
