Iron Maiden’s Rock Hall Induction Faces Attendance Uncertainty as Band Tours Australia

Former Iron Maiden guitarist Dennis Stratton expressed great excitement about the band’s long‑awaited induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, describing it as a landmark recognition for the heavy‑metal pioneers. In a recent interview he said he would love to attend the ceremony, but emphasized that the decision on whether any members will be present rests entirely with Iron Maiden and its management.

Iron Maiden’s manager Rod Smallwood confirmed that the group will skip the induction ceremony because the band is scheduled to be on tour in Australia at that time. Stratton noted that former drummer Nicko McBrain, ex‑vocalist Blaze Bayley, or even Smallwood could accept the award on the band’s behalf, but no definitive plan has been set. He also acknowledged frontman Bruce Dickinson’s longstanding criticism of the Hall of Fame, stating that he respects Dickinson’s view and will follow the band’s collective decision.
