Ironman releases professional women's starter list for World Championship

Ironman has released the official professional women's starter list for the upcoming World Championship in Kailua-Kona. The event features 54 of the world's top professional triathletes competing for the title, Ironman Pro Series points, and a total prize pool of $375,000, with the winner receiving $125,000.

Among the favorites is German champion Laura Philipp, who seeks to build on her recent successes at Ironman Kalmar and Zell am See. Other key competitors include Solveig Løvseth and Katrina Matthews, who shared the podium in 2025.

Triathlete Elisabetta Curridori, who holds a Spanish license, appears on the official list representing Italy, her country of origin. Curridori noted that she will compete in her standard racing kit without specific national flags and is currently focusing on heat and humidity adaptation in Banyoles following a recent bout with plantar fasciitis.
