Irplast inaugurates new production line in Atessa

Irplast has inaugurated a new Lisim extrusion production line at its facility in Atessa, Italy. The investment, exceeding 60 million euros, is part of a broader industrial plan to support innovation and international growth.

The new high-tech line is designed to produce 30,000 tons annually of high-performance, recyclable monomaterial films, aligning with the European Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR). The facility utilizes advanced technology from Brückner Maschinenbau to improve energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.

The inauguration was attended by regional officials, including Abruzzo President Marco Marsilio, and representatives from the Japanese TOPPAN Group, which became the majority shareholder of Irplast in June 2025. The event also included the Japanese Vice Ambassador to Italy, Yujiro Hayashi, highlighting the strategic economic ties between the Abruzzo region and Japan.
