The inauguration also featured the Japanese Vice Ambassador to Italy, Yujiro Hayashi, noting the economic ties between the Abruzzo region and Japan.

On September 15, the company held an operational ceremony for the new line, which utilizes advanced technology from Brückner Maschinenbau to enhance energy efficiency and environmental sustainability. This new manufacturing line focuses on high-performance biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) films using simultaneous biaxial orientation technology.

Combined with existing capabilities, the facility is expected to reach a total annual supply capacity of approximately 30,000 tonnes. These films are intended to serve as substrates for eco-friendly packaging, such as transparent GL BARRIER films. Full commercial operations are expected to commence by late 2026, targeting global brand owners and packaging converters.
