ISA Energia evaluates R$650 million share offering as Brazil energy stocks shift in portfolios
ISA Energia (ISAE4) announced it is evaluating a primary placement of preferred shares that could raise about R$650 million. The company has hired BTG Pactual to advise the process and says existing shareholders would have subscription priority. No formal decision has been made yet, but the funds are intended to strengthen the firm’s balance sheet and support its investment plans.
Separately, brokerage XP reshuffled its dividend‑focused portfolio, removing Energisa (ENGI11) and increasing exposure to Caixa Seguridade (CXSE3) and Axia Energia (AXIA). XP noted that Energisa’s longer‑duration profile makes it more sensitive to macro‑economic conditions, while Caixa Seguridade benefits from strong insurance activity and a favorable interest‑rate environment. The changes also involved swapping Axia’s preferred Class C shares for ordinary shares to maintain exposure to Brazil’s electric utilities sector.
