Isabela Araujo debuts at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid
Colombian fashion designer Isabela Araujo made her debut at the 84th edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid. A student at the University for Design, Innovation and Technology (UDIT), Araujo presented three designs from her collection, ‘Los Relatos’, which were inspired by Joselito Carnaval, a prominent figure of the Barranquilla Carnival.
Araujo’s appearance coincides with a period of significant international growth for the Colombian fashion industry. According to data from ProColombia and Inexmoda, the sector maintains a commercial presence in over 116 international destinations and recorded exports totaling USD 1,640 million in 2025.
