Madrid fashion events 2026

Overview

In July 2026, Madrid hosted two major trade fairs: the Km0 Moda fashion fair at the Palacio de Santoña, which showcased AI-driven e-commerce and inventory tools, and the InterOcio entertainment expo at IFEMA. Following these events, organizers announced that the 84th edition of Madrid Fashion Week (MBFW) would transition from IFEMA to various city venues, including the Crystal Palace and Cibeles Palace, for its September schedule.

The fashion calendar commenced on 7 September with an inaugural parade at the Sabatini Gardens, marking the start of OMODA Madrid es Moda. This initial phase, running from 7 to 10 September, features exhibitions and pop-ups from designers such as Adlib Ibiza and Roberto Verino.

As the OMODA event progressed, Miguel Marinero presented his autumn-winter 2026/27 collection, ‘La Estética del Conocimiento’, at the Fundación Fran Daurel, focusing on wool-based craftsmanship. Simultaneously, Adlib Ibiza held an exhibition at the Museo del Traje featuring 13 brands, including Ibimoda, Ivanna Mestres, and Tony Bonet, to highlight Mediterranean identity.

The program continues with Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid from 14 to 19 September, showcasing Spring/Summer 2027 collections. El Corte Inglés has joined as an official sponsor, introducing the ‘El Corte Inglés Best Model Award’ to support national talent. The full event series features over 60 designers and 45 scheduled shows, aiming to increase the international and domestic visibility of Spanish fashion. The entire period is projected to generate approximately €100 million in economic impact.
