Isabella Nardoni case investigation may be reopened following new petition

A petition filed with the São Paulo Public Prosecutor's Office (MPSP) may lead to the reopening of the investigation into the 2008 death of Isabella Nardoni. The request, submitted by lawyer Francisco Angelo Carbone Sobrinho on behalf of the Associação do Orgulho LGBTQIAPN+SP, presents an alternative version of the events established by the courts.

The petition alleges that Isabella's grandfather, Antônio Nardoni, may have been the mastermind behind the homicide. It also calls for investigations into potential crimes including procedural fraud and corruption.

The document cites three witnesses: a prison officer who claims Anna Carolina Jatobá stated that Antônio Nardoni ordered the death; another prison agent who reportedly witnessed similar claims; and a former law firm secretary. Additionally, the petition alleges irregularities during Jatobá's imprisonment, including claims of corruption, preferential treatment for Antônio Nardoni, and potential intimidation of officials.
