Isabelle Johnson arrested in Florida murder investigation
Isabelle Johnson, 38, has been arrested in Florida following a 45-day multi-state manhunt. Johnson is accused of the murder of 43-year-old Jason Coulthart, who was reported missing in Niceville in late May.
Investigators discovered Coulthart’s remains in a shallow grave in Freeport, Walton County. The body was found with a large white zip tie around the neck, buried under concrete, and concealed by a parked black Cadillac. The location of the remains was revealed following a tip from an individual already in custody for an unrelated matter.
Law enforcement officials described Johnson as a “master manipulator” who evaded capture across Florida, Georgia, and Alabama by using multiple aliases, such as “Harley” and “Jessica,” and employing disguises. She reportedly used false stories of domestic violence to manipulate others into providing her with money, housing, transportation, and mobile phones.
In addition to Johnson’s arrest, five other individuals have been taken into custody for allegedly aiding her flight from authorities.
