Isabelle Johnson arrested in Florida murder manhunt

Isabelle Rose Johnson has been arrested following a multi-state manhunt in connection with the murder of 43-year-old Jason Christopher Coulthart. The arrest was conducted by the Walton County and Jackson County Sheriff’s Offices in the Florida Panhandle.

Investigators described Johnson as a “master manipulator” who allegedly used multiple identities and disguises to evade law enforcement. The search for Johnson spanned several states, including Florida, Alabama, and Georgia.

Coulthart was reported missing in May 2026 after being last seen leaving a condominium complex in Florida. His remains were discovered in a shallow grave on a property in Freeport, Florida, in late June. A DNA match confirmed the identity of the remains in July.

In addition to Johnson, five other individuals have been arrested and charged with being accessories after the fact or for obstruction in connection with the homicide investigation.
