Isak Andic death investigation: New witnesses summoned
A judge in Martorell has reactivated the investigation into the death of Mango founder Isak Andic, summoning new witnesses to clarify the circumstances of his fall in Montserrat on December 14, 2024.
Three executors named in Andic’s 2023 will—Mango CEO Toni Ruiz, executive Daniel López, and José Crehueras, president of Grupo Planeta—are expected to testify this autumn. Their testimony aims to clarify the businessman’s final wishes, specifically regarding a planned charitable foundation and whether his estate was intended to be restructured in a way that would impact his eldest son, Jonathan Andic.
Prosecutors are investigating whether Jonathan Andic had an economic motive for his father's death, as he remains under investigation for homicide. The defense seeks to dismantle this theory by calling witnesses, including prominent lawyer Miquel Roca, to testify about the family's relationship and financial arrangements. Additionally, the court has approved the summoning of police officers and firefighters who attended to Jonathan following the accident.
