Isak Andic death investigation

Overview

The investigation into the death of Mango founder Isak Andic, who fell from a cliff in Spain in December 2024, has expanded to include scrutiny of his therapist and his son, Jonathan Andic.

Investigators are examining the role of therapist Julia Lüderwaldt, following evidence suggesting she may have pressured Andic to transfer a 40 million euro inheritance to his son. Authorities are analyzing mobile phone messages between Lüderwaldt and a British interpreter, Johana, noting that both individuals walked the same hiking route shortly before Andic’s fatal fall. Johana testified that certain excursions were part of an “extreme experience” intended to mend the relationship between father and son.

Concurrently, Judge Raquel Nieto has identified indicators pointing to Jonathan Andic as a possible suspect in a homicide investigation. A primary focus is a trip Jonathan took to Quito, Ecuador, in March 2025. Police suspect the trip may have been an attempt to dispose of an iPhone 14 that was present on the day of his father’s death, potentially to eliminate compromising messages. While the defense claims the device was stolen during the trip, the judge has ordered a detailed report on the travel expenses and communications made during the stay in Ecuador.
