Erciyes Ski Center develops 1,100-meter mountain coaster

Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality is advancing a project to transform Erciyes Ski Center into a year-round tourism destination. A key component of this initiative is the construction of a 1,100-meter mountain coaster facility. Technical work is currently underway, including the installation of the rail line, safety mechanisms, sensors, and control systems by Outdoor Factory. Additionally, construction of the facility’s service and administration building is progressing.

The new attraction is designed to offer diverse social, sporting, and entertainment options. Plans include a night coaster experience to extend visitor stays after sunset, as well as technological features such as scoreboards for racing and automatic photo systems. The project aims to diversify the region's tourism profile beyond winter sports.

Separately, Erciyes University organized a cultural tour for newly enrolled students for the 2026-2027 academic year. The tour guided students through historical and cultural landmarks in Kayseri, including the Gevher Nesibe Madrasa, Kayseri Castle, and the Hunat Hatun Complex, to foster local engagement and social development.
