In the wake of the tragedy, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif removed the federal health secretary, Aslam Ghauri, from his position, citing a failure to follow directives regarding hospital inspections. Health Minister Mustafa Kamal has taken responsibility for the incident and vowed that all negligent parties will be held accountable. The Senate has unanimously approved a resolution to form a special committee for a transparent investigation.

A preliminary inquiry report submitted to the Prime Minister has identified significant safety gaps, noting that hospital facilities did not meet international standards. The report also highlighted difficulties faced by rescue teams and recommended disciplinary action against staff members who were absent during the fire. Investigations are ongoing to determine if electrical wiring or oxygen pipelines contributed to the rapid spread of the flames.
