Islamic Resistance Launches Multiple Drone and Artillery Attacks on Israeli Forces in Southern Lebanon

On June 5‑6 2026, the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon said it carried out a series of attacks against Israeli army positions and vehicles in southern Lebanon, responding to what it described as Israeli violations of a cease‑fire and attacks on villages and civilians.

The statements detail hits on an Israeli Hermes 1 helicopter over the Rihan area, a Merkava tank near Blat al‑Mustahdad, artillery batteries in the towns of Adisa, Al‑Hounin and Qantara, and convoys near Yahrm al‑Shqif, Zautar and other villages. Weapons cited include ground‑to‑air missiles, drones, mortar shells and rockets.

The resistance reported that the operations caused casualties among Israeli personnel and damaged equipment, while also noting that Israeli actions had resulted in civilian deaths and injuries in the same region. A total of 25 separate statements were released, enumerating attacks from early evening of June 5 through the afternoon of June 6.
