Isomorphic Labs seeks valuation up to $50 billion

Isomorphic Labs, an AI-driven drug discovery company spun out of Google DeepMind, is reportedly in early-stage negotiations for a new funding round. According to Bloomberg, the company could reach a valuation between $40 billion and $50 billion.

Isomorphic Labs utilizes AI technologies, including research from AlphaFold, to accelerate the identification and development of new medicinal compounds. This approach aims to reduce the time and immense costs associated with traditional pharmaceutical research, which often spans over a decade.

The company has already established significant research collaborations with pharmaceutical giants Eli Lilly and Novartis, with a potential total volume of nearly $3 billion plus potential royalties. Previous funding rounds included participation from Alphabet, Thrive Capital, Temasek, and the Abu Dhabi-based sovereign wealth fund MGX.
