Solidigm potential US IPO
Overview
Solidigm, a US-based subsidiary of SK hynix specializing in NAND and enterprise SSDs, is considering an initial public offering (IPO) in the United States as early as 2027. The potential listing could value the company at up to $150 billion and raise approximately $15 billion, potentially making it one of the largest semiconductor IPOs on record.
To prepare for the listing, the company has reportedly begun selecting underwriters through pitch meetings with investment banks. Solidigm’s high-capacity enterprise solid-state drives are seeing increased demand for cloud data centers and artificial intelligence infrastructure.
Following SK hynix’s 2020 acquisition of Intel’s NAND and SSD business, the company is also exploring ways to strengthen global competitiveness, including the possibility of establishing a NAND flash fabrication plant in the United States.
