Israel accused of breaching Gaza ceasefire as mediators demand compliance

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned Israel for repeatedly violating the Gaza cease‑fire agreement, continuing attacks on civilians, targeting vital infrastructure and hindering the delivery of humanitarian aid. The ministry said the violations demonstrate a lack of political will to end the aggression and fulfill obligations under the U.S. President’s peace plan.

Mediating states – Egypt, Qatar and Turkey – issued a joint statement urging Israel to respect all cease‑fire commitments under international law, protect civilians, medical facilities and aid workers, and allow unhindered humanitarian assistance. They warned that the ongoing breaches, including 17 new violations reported on the latest day, threaten the second phase of the peace roadmap and exacerbate civilian suffering in Gaza.
