Israel Accused of Genocide Against Palestinian Children in UN Report

A United Nations investigative committee concluded that Israeli forces deliberately targeted Palestinian children in Gaza and the occupied West Bank, describing the actions as genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes. The report says attacks on schools, hospitals, residential areas and displacement camps continued after the October cease‑fire, employing drones, precision weapons and snipers, leading to thousands of child deaths and severe injuries. It cites figures from the Gaza health ministry indicating at least 21,280 children among more than 73,000 Palestinian casualties. The committee argues that these acts demonstrate an intent to destroy the future of the Palestinian people. Israel rejected the findings, calling the report fabricated propaganda and accusing the UN body of bias, while defending its military operations as self‑defence against Hamas.
