Israel accuses UN of bias and neglecting sexual‑violence allegations
Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, charged UN special representative for children and armed conflict Vanessa Frazier with engaging antisemitic social‑media accounts and showing anti‑Israel bias ahead of her upcoming report. Danon said, “Today, I exposed the true face of Vanessa Frazier… she reflects a deeper problem within parts of the UN.”
Separately, former hostage Ilana Gritzewsky addressed the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, accusing UN officials of failing to adequately investigate sexual violence committed by Hamas during the Oct 7, 2023 attack on Israel. Her testimony, organized by UN Watch, highlighted the lack of attention to Israeli victims of sexual assault and kidnapping. Both incidents underscore Israel’s broader criticism of perceived anti‑Israel bias within UN bodies.
