Israel advances West Bank annexation plan and launches widespread raids

The Israeli government approved a budget of roughly 3.8 billion Turkish lira to transfer land registration authority in Area C of the West Bank from the military to the civilian Ministry of Justice's land registry. The move would map and register about 15 % of the 1.9 million dunams currently lacking formal titles, effectively legalising de‑facto annexation without a formal declaration. Settlements have expanded, with new outposts, mobile homes and infrastructure funded with more than 15 billion lira.

At the same time, Israeli forces carried out coordinated early‑morning raids across the West Bank, searching homes and detaining dozens of Palestinians in Ramallah, al‑Bireh, Nablus, Tubas, and other locations. Settler groups entered several villages under military protection, attacking residents and using flare‑guns to restrict movement. The operations were described by Palestinian sources as part of a systematic pressure campaign.

These actions combine a legal‑administrative strategy to incorporate West Bank land into Israeli law with a security‑force approach that intensifies on‑ground pressure on Palestinian communities.
