Israel airstrike kills senior Hamas leaders as Gaza aid database hacked, exposing 600,000 families

Israel's Defense Forces reported that air and naval strikes on Gaza during the night of June 3‑4 eliminated several senior Hamas internal‑security officials, including deputy chief Hassan Labad, Asem Shabir, Abdullah Abu Kaloub and Mohammed Abu Marek. The attacks damaged residential buildings, killed five members of one family, hit four apartments and left at least 15 people injured, occurring despite the cease‑fire that began in October.

The United Nations World Food Programme said its online registration system for Gaza humanitarian assistance was breached from May 14 onward, compromising personal data of roughly 600,000 Palestinian households. Stolen details include names, identity numbers, phone numbers and registered addresses. WFP temporarily shut the platform, launched an investigation, warned of possible fraud, and continues to deliver food, cash and other aid to the population.
