Israel bans Greek unionists from West Bank, ELAS urges suspension of EU‑Israel agreement

The Greek Left Alliance (ELAS) condemned Israel’s decision to prohibit entry to Greek trade unionists into the West Bank and to deport them from Ben Gurion Airport. ELAS described the action as a violation of international law and of Article 2 of the EU‑Israel Association Agreement, calling it "an illegal act against citizens showing solidarity with the Palestinian people."

The organization demanded that the Greek government take an immediate stance, urged the EU to suspend the Association Agreement with Israel, and requested sanctions against officials and entities involved in what it termed "illegal Israeli aggression" across Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon and Iran.
