Israel conducts kidnapping attempts and ceasefire violations in Gaza

Israeli forces and affiliated militias have intensified operations within the Gaza Strip, characterized by both direct military strikes and targeted kidnapping attempts. In the Al-Qarara area north of Khan Younis, Saraya al-Quds reported an attempt by militia forces supported by drones to kidnap a resistance member, resulting in a clash and the death of Fadi al-Abadla.

Similar operations were reported in Gaza City, where an internal security official, Maeen al-Arabeed, was targeted in a mission involving special forces using civilian vehicles under heavy aerial cover. Investigations indicated that local resistance intercepted the operation, leading to the arrest of three individuals allegedly posing as international relief workers to facilitate intelligence gathering.

Simultaneously, there have been reports of eight new violations of the ceasefire agreement, which was mediated by Arab and American parties in Sharm el-Sheikh. These violations include artillery shelling, drone fire, and naval strikes concentrated in Gaza City and southern Khan Younis. These escalations occur despite previous announcements regarding a roadmap for a new agreement in the region.
