Israel conducts multiple airspace violations and strikes in southern Lebanon

The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) reported that Israeli drones, fighter aircraft, and helicopters violated Lebanese airspace 143 times over a three-day period. During this timeframe, UNIFIL recorded 166 projectile trajectories, all attributed to the Israeli military, and noted that no rocket or artillery fire from Hezbollah or other armed groups was detected.

In addition to airspace violations, UNIFIL observed 12 Israeli naval vessels entering Lebanese territorial waters near Naqoura. Reports from the ground indicate a wave of Israeli attacks across southern Lebanon, including airstrikes, artillery shelling, and demolition operations targeting various towns such as Mayfadoun, Kfar Tebnit, and Hadatha. These assaults involved fighter jets, Apache attack helicopters, and unmanned aerial vehicles.

The escalation occurs amid heavy military pressure in southern Lebanon. Since March, Israeli strikes have killed more than 4,300 people in Lebanon, according to the Lebanese Health Ministry. The military activity follows a period of renewed hostilities between Israeli forces and Hezbollah.
