Israel conducts strikes in Gaza amid ceasefire violations

Israeli military strikes in the Gaza Strip have resulted in multiple Palestinian casualties, including children, despite an ongoing ceasefire agreement in effect since October 10, 2025.

In the Mawasi region, two separate drone strikes targeted tents housing displaced Palestinians belonging to the Zemmali and Asliye families. These attacks killed 8-year-old Emel el-Mugayyir and another Palestinian, while injuring 14 others.

Additional strikes were reported in the Sheikh Ridwan neighborhood of northwest Gaza City, where two Palestinians were killed and several others injured. Witnesses noted that a second drone strike targeted individuals attempting to assist those wounded in an initial attack.

Other reported incidents include an airstrike on civilians near the coast in southern Gaza and strikes on Sanayi Street, which injured nine people according to the Palestinian Red Crescent. Israeli armored vehicles were also reported active in areas near Jabalia and Beit Lahia.
