Israel conducts strikes in southern Lebanon and displays seized Hezbollah weapons
The Israeli military has conducted artillery and aerial strikes against areas in the Nabatieh district of southern Lebanon, specifically targeting the region between Ali al-Taher and al-Dabsha. Reports indicate the use of heavy machine guns and phosphorus munitions during these operations.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the military is acting on political directives to address threats from Hezbollah. He alleged that Hezbollah has violated ceasefire agreements by attacking Israeli forces within the ‘yellow line’ buffer zone.
In a separate development, the Israeli military displayed a collection of weaponry seized from Hezbollah and Hamas. The arsenal includes missiles, drones, sniper rifles, and mortars. Israeli officials claim a significant portion of these weapons were manufactured in Iran, while others originated from Russia and China. Military commanders noted that hundreds of Iranian-made mortars were discovered in Lebanon, sometimes positioned within residential buildings.
