Israel Defense Forces strike Hezbollah sites in southern Lebanon

On July 3 2026 the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted targeted airstrikes against roughly ten Hezbollah infrastructure locations in southern Lebanon. The operation was presented as a response to repeated violations of the cease‑fire along the Israel‑Lebanon border, aiming to destroy positions used to launch attacks on Israeli soldiers. In the same sortie, IDF forces hit a separate Hezbollah cell transporting weapons in a truck near the security zone.

The IDF said the strikes were intended to curb hostile actions and restore stability along the contested frontier.
