Israel destroys major Hezbollah tunnel network in southern Lebanon
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that it demolished a central segment of Hezbollah’s underground tunnel system in the Bofar ridge area of southern Lebanon. Using roughly 700 tons of explosives, the strike targeted tunnels built over two decades that were used to launch UAVs, bomb‑laden drones and missiles toward Israeli forces and civilians. The network, located about six kilometres from Israeli towns, was financed and designed with Iranian support. No militants were present at the time of the attack. The operation was carried out after a recent Hezbollah violation of the cease‑fire agreement, and the IDF said it will continue to act against any threats in the region.
