Israel faces genocide allegations over Gaza military offensive

The military offensive in the Gaza Strip has resulted in nearly 65,400 Palestinian deaths, including more than 19,000 children. An independent UN commission, human rights rapporteurs, and various NGOs have characterized the actions of Israel as genocide.

Reports indicate a systemic pattern of violations against international order and human rights. These include the intentional killing of journalists, healthcare workers, and political opponents, as well as the use of white phosphorus and 'double tap' tactics. Furthermore, there is documented destruction of vital civilian infrastructure, such as hospitals, schools, housing, and water treatment plants, alongside the forced displacement of populations in Gaza, the occupied territories, and Lebanon.
