Israel-India Initiative Expands Ties with Greece and Cyprus
A new India × Israel Nexus platform was launched in Jerusalem to deepen commercial, cultural and political cooperation between Israel and India. Backed by private funding and the Israeli foreign ministry, the initiative aims to connect leaders, policymakers, businesses and cultural figures, building on an already strategic partnership that spans defence, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and agricultural innovation. India is Israel's largest arms customer, accounting for roughly a third of Israeli weapons exports.
At the same time, Israel is strengthening its ties with Greece and Cyprus through security and technology agreements, positioning the trio as a regional counterweight to Russian and Turkish influence. The coordinated outreach reflects a shift in Israel's foreign‑policy focus toward broader economic and security collaboration in the Mediterranean and South‑Asian regions.
