Israel attacks Gaza, killing civilians and crippling medical and water supplies
Israeli airstrikes and drone attacks across Gaza have killed dozens of Palestinians, including children. Night operations reported by the Gaza Health Ministry resulted in nine deaths, three of them children, while earlier strikes in Telatini Street, Hayy er‑Reis, Gazali, Deyr el‑Belah and Sheikh Ridvan neighborhoods added at least seven more fatalities and many injuries.
Since the cease‑fire took effect on 10 October 2025, Israeli attacks have caused 1,222 Palestinian deaths, 4,053 injuries and the recovery of 804 bodies. Cumulative figures since October 2023 show 73,349 deaths and 174,162 injuries.
Targeted strikes on the Aksa Martyrs Hospital destroyed two of four medical‑supply depots and heavily damaged the remaining two, sparking panic among patients and staff. The Palestinian Health Ministry condemned the systematic targeting of medical infrastructure.
The conflict has also devastated Gaza’s water and sanitation network. About 85‑90 % of the system is destroyed, leaving roughly 85 % of the population without safe drinking water and forcing residents to rely on water tankers.
The Palestinian Human Rights Center says Israeli forces are deliberately targeting civilian shelters, homes and aid facilities as part of a broader policy of collective punishment.
