Israel launches airstrikes in southern Lebanon after Hezbollah drone attacks
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched a series of airstrikes in southern Lebanon following an attack by Hezbollah. The escalation began after Hezbollah deployed two explosive-laden drones against Israeli troops in the region. While Israeli forces reported shooting down one of the drones, the retaliatory strikes targeted Hezbollah weapons depots and command centers.
In the town of Arab Salim, located in the Nabatiyah province, an Israeli strike destroyed a residential home, killing a young woman who had married only two days prior. Local officials and Lebanese media reported that several others were injured in the strike. Lebanese security sources indicated that at least ten separate attacks occurred in the vicinity of Nabatiyah during the operation.
