Israel launches drone strikes and demolitions in Gaza despite cease‑fire
At least three Palestinians were killed on Saturday during Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip, despite a cease‑fire that has been in place since October. One victim died when a drone dropped up to four projectiles on a civilian vehicle on Al Rashid road near the Nuseirat refugee camp, while two others were killed in separate attacks in Al Mauasi and Al Satar al‑Gharbi, south of Jan Yunis.
The Israeli army also carried out demolition of multiple buildings and artillery bombardments across the enclave, targeting areas such as Khan Younis, Qizan al‑Najjar, the eastern side of the Al‑Bureij camp, and the Jabalia camp in the north. Health authorities in Gaza reported a total of 1,098 deaths and more than 3,500 injuries since the cease‑fire began, underscoring the continued humanitarian toll of the violations.
