Israel orders evacuations in southern Lebanon amid escalating strikes

The Israel Defense Forces have ordered residents of Deir al-Zahrani in southern Lebanon to evacuate immediately ahead of planned strikes against Hezbollah installations. This escalation follows Hezbollah launching explosive drones toward Israeli military positions.

Reports indicate that Israeli airstrikes have already hit Deir al-Zahrani. This development occurs despite a fragile ceasefire agreement. Recent strikes in the region, including in Arab Salim and Kfar Rumman, have resulted in multiple casualties, including women and children.

Local authorities in Lebanon reported that previous strikes had already caused several deaths and numerous injuries across Nabatieh and other southern towns. Hezbollah has characterized the military actions as a violation of the ceasefire.
