Israel reportedly provides covert intelligence and military aid to Sudan's RSF

Reports indicate that Israel has been providing covert intelligence and military assistance to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), the paramilitary group engaged in the Sudanese civil war. Investigations suggest that high-ranking RSF officials have conducted several secret visits to Tel Aviv to meet with representatives from the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Africa Division and intelligence services.

According to reports from Africa Intelligence, these contacts may predate the outbreak of the conflict in Sudan in April 2023. Delegations reportedly included Abdel Rahim Hamdan Dagalo, the RSF’s second-in-command, and other family members of the group's leader, Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, also known as Hemedti.

Further investigations by Haaretz and Lighthouse suggest that the RSF has received sophisticated European-made phone surveillance and hacking equipment. This equipment was allegedly delivered via an aircraft linked to Tal Dilian, a former Israeli intelligence agent and founder of the Cyprus-based Intellexa network. While the United Arab Emirates remains the RSF's primary supporter, these findings suggest Israel is also providing security and technological assistance to the group.
