Israel strikes southern Lebanon, killing ambulance crew and civilians

Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon intensified on 3‑4 June 2026, hitting vehicles and an ambulance. The attacks killed two civilians in Tyre, two health workers when an ambulance was hit in Zebdin, and a rescuer who later died, while another rescue worker was injured. Israel reported intercepting two rockets and an unmanned aerial vehicle launched by Hezbollah. Hezbollah said it was targeting Israeli troops in northern Israel in response to what it called a breach of the cease‑fire. A partial cease‑fire between Israel and Hezbollah remains in place, but hostilities continue.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health confirmed the casualties and noted that this was the fourth attack on medical or rescue personnel within 24 hours.
