Israel warns of declining US support and rising Turkish influence in the region

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on social media that he is concerned about the future of the U.S.-Israel relationship, stating, "I have concerns about the future of the US-Israel relationship" and noting that he believes American public support for Israel is decreasing. He also warned that some countries are using social media bots to spread anti‑U.S.‑Israel content aimed at young Americans.

An Israeli Middle‑East analyst echoed these worries, arguing that the regional power vacuum left by Iran is now being filled by Turkey. He said, "Iran's vacuum has been filled by Turkey, our new strategic rival," and described a potential information and lobbying war aimed at countering Turkey's diplomatic and defence initiatives. The analyst warned that Israel may need to develop continuous Turkish‑language propaganda efforts to influence Turkish public opinion.

Both comments highlight Israel's growing anxiety over shifting alliances in the Middle East, with the United States and Turkey emerging as critical factors in Tel Aviv's strategic calculations.
