Israeli forces raze homes as settlers storm West Bank village of Deir Jarir

Israeli occupation forces carried out a series of demolitions across the West Bank, including a four‑apartment building in Sur Baher, Jerusalem, homes in Silwan, a residence in Idhna west of Hebron, and forced evacuations in Khirbet As‑Saeed near Ya’bad. In the Jordan Valley, authorities destroyed water lines, agricultural land and sealed roads affecting communities such as Ras al‑Ahmar, al‑Mayar and al‑Aqaba.

At the same time, more than 100 Israeli settlers, under military protection, stormed the West Bank village of Deir Jarir east of Ramallah. Settlers entered homes, smashed windows and set a house on fire while the army locked the village gate, leaving residents trapped. The attack is tied to a long‑standing land dispute involving Church‑owned property and follows attempts to restrict a Catholic Marian festival in the neighboring Christian town of Taybeh.
