Israeli army demolishes homes in southern Lebanon and raids Nablus despite ceasefire

Israeli artillery units used 700 tons of explosives to destroy numerous homes and caves in the southern Lebanese villages of Talusa, Mansuri, Mecdel Zun, Yuhmur Şakif, Arnun and Kefertebnit, claiming the strikes targeted Hezbollah tunnels. The attacks occurred amid a temporary cease‑fire that had been extended several times, and the Lebanese health ministry reported over 4,300 civilian deaths since the conflict escalated in March.

In the West Bank, Israeli forces carried out a heavy armored incursion into Nablus and nearby villages with "Eitan" heavy vehicles. Troops deployed tear gas, sound and smoke bombs, seized municipal trash trucks, and destroyed agricultural plots, leaving four Palestinians dead. The raid followed a prior deadly incident on 24 July that heightened tensions in the area.
