Israeli army demolishes Palestinian home as settlers launch widespread attacks in the West Bank

On Tuesday Israeli forces demolished a 60‑square‑metre house in Khirbet Am Al‑Khair, Masfar Yatta, that housed eight members of the Ammar al‑Hadhalin family, and arrested several Palestinians in raids across the West Bank. At the same time, about 100 settlers from the Eliazer Birlant bloc stormed the village of Kifl Haras north of Salfit, stone‑throwing at other settlers and vandalising Palestinian properties. Settler militias carried out a wave of attacks in towns and villages throughout the occupied West Bank, including releasing livestock on farms, seizing crops, destroying plastic agricultural structures and using bulldozers to dig in Ramallah’s al‑Tira neighbourhood. Similar incidents were reported in Nablus, Hebron, Ramallah, Jericho and the village of Burein near Nablus, where a cooperative’s plastic greenhouses were torn down. Israeli troops also erected military checkpoints and barriers in Hebron and near the entrance to the village of Joura in the Bethlehem governorate, restricting movement and causing traffic snarls.
