Israeli attacks kill five Palestinians in Gaza and West Bank
An Israeli airstrike on the northern Gaza Strip killed two Palestinians, which the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said targeted "terrorists."
In the West Bank, clashes near Beit Furik, east of Nablus, resulted in three further Palestinian deaths. Israeli soldiers and settlers confronted residents attempting to extinguish a fire near the Israeli settlement of Itamar. After a knife attack injured an Israeli, a settler shot two Palestinians, and IDF personnel later killed a Palestinian who had stabbed an Israeli soldier.
The incidents raise the death toll since the fragile cease‑fire began in October, with Palestinian authorities reporting more than 1,160 Palestinian fatalities and Israeli sources counting four Israeli soldiers killed.
